A Letter to
You on Your First Birthday
Kaylee our love,
It is hard to believe that it has
been one year since God has blessed us with you. As everyone promised it would, time has
absolutely flown. It has been the most
amazing journey spending the past year watching you grow and come into your
own. You have quite the personality,
little bean. You are a little girl that
knows what you want. As the saying goes,
“although [you] are little, [you] are fierce.”
You are a fast
learner and quite the sponge. It is so
fun to watch you mimic sounds, words, and actions. My favorite part of each day is watching you
explore all of the new surroundings around you, and the sound that warms my
heart is your sweet giggle. Despite how
tired, sick, or “done” you are with the day, you always manage to let out some
smiles.
You make friends,
everywhere you go. Saying “Hi” has
become one of your favorite things to do, especially to strangers. It is apparent to anyone that meets you how
sweet and warm your heart is. You are
quite the cutie, but the beauty within you is already beginning to shine.
You will give
kisses to just about anyone. No, not
anyone, anything. You will kiss your socks, toys, books,
and anything you come across, but when it comes to your loved ones, you make
sure that when a kiss comes to fruition you make it very rare and equally as
special.
Every day, I mean
it, every
single day, I wonder how I got so lucky. Thank you for filling a void in my heart that
I didn’t know existed. You have enriched so many lives already, and I am so excited to continue to watch you grow.
