Halloween/Fall 2016

Halloween has come and gone!  I feel like we have been celebrating for so long, which I love.  We certainly know how to maximize each holiday :).  I love everything about Fall, especially that its the prelude to the holidays!! Here is how we celebrated Halloween this year:
We started with an Autumn Fest on my birthday that was lots of fun.  Equipped with pumpkins everywhere, a petting zoo, and....

FACE PAINT! :)

We also did our annual trip to the pumpkin patch.  Love this Fall tradition!

We did our church's Trunk-or-Treat.  It was our first ever, and so much fun!  We had the most amazing weather, so all the trunks were running out to get more candy, because it was PACKED.  Aunt Carole did some special face paint :)
Some of he high school church girls hosted a dance party for the littles.  Kaylee was in her element trying to learn all of the line dances.
Our Trunk :)
Target trips are ALWAYS fun during the Halloween season #LOL
Next up, a parade in my parent's town.  This was funny...we planned on attending the Halloween parade, until we saw hundreds of dressed up littles realizing that we actually were the parade.  Kaylee took her job of being in the parade so seriously, and she loved it!  It ended at a park where we got a nice bag of candy.  So fun, and a new tradition :)
Halloween day!  Kaylee had a parade at school and came home with several bags of goodies.  She trick-or-treated all around the high school and had so much fun.  I did my best on a festive lunch...

Finally, the big finale--Trick or Treat!  This girl could've gone all night long, Gerald, my in-laws, and I kept taking turns walking her to different streets/houses.  Her favorite was this house with SCARY zombies that she called silly guys.  I actually had nightmares about them I think, but we went to see them at least 10 times. It cracked me up.
What? You're not supposed to carve pumpkins the day after Halloween??? Gerald had a bunch of fun and kiddish friendly tools, so Kaylee felt so important helping in the carving.
Oh, and here's a little throwback for your Thursday.  Love this little cutie!

Now, time for the holidays!!
WISHING THIS WAS MY HOUSE RIGHT NOW!!

FALL Favorites

I'm so excited that it's officially FALL!  We have had the most beautiful weather in Pittsburgh-70 and sunny just about EVERY DAY.  I could live in this year round!  Here are some of my favorite things about Fall and why I'm so excited for it:

one.
I love a good pumpkin dip!  I've made a couple different ones over the season, but I'm excited to try this recipe.  I think I'd serve it with gingersnaps :).

two.
Football season!  I love having relaxing Sundays with family watching the game!

three.
MY BIRTHDAY.  I've always loved it... My mom was always so great at celebrating things and making us feel special, so I blame her for my love of birthdays :).  This picture was from a party in college that Ryan threw for my  We were 19 and 22 I believe, little babies.  Oh, and my bday is ONE WEEK FROM TODAY. :)!

four.

MY SHOWS!  They all premiered this week; these are my three favs.

five.
Pumpkin everything!  This is my new favorite candle.   Vanilla Pumpkin from Target.

six.

Love playing outside with this cutie in this weather.
a look at how different she was last year at the park!

seven.
Halloween!  Last year, Kaylee was a flower.  She was too little to Trick or Treat (obvi), so we were at home passing out candy which was a lot of fun.  We're going out this weekend to pick out her costume :)

eight.
Fall Fashion:  Leggings, a big sweater, scarf, and boots are everything to me!

Have a great, Fall-filled weekend :)

Fall Days :)

We have had a crazy, busy Fall, but have spent lots of time enjoying the beautiful weather :).  Fall is my favorite time of year, but it feels like winter takes over all too quickly.    Kaylee loves the outdoors, so she has been lots of fun to play with outside.

Here she is as a scarecrow at the Pumpkin Patch!

A different day, she rode down the big girl slide with her daddy!

And here we are on the swing!

My parents are selling their house, so over the weekend we went to the park with my mom and Kaylee's BFF, Bailey, during their "open house."

She swung like a big girl!

I can't believe that Thanksgiving is less than a month ago, and Christmas less than two months!  I will be blogging about Kaylee's first Halloween this weekend.  Here is a sneak peek!

Happy Hump Day!!!

Fall!? Say it isn't so.

I CANNOT believe that the first day of fall is only a couple of days away; where did summer go!?  Since the baby, in my mind I thought I'd think about fall work, but the thought of it ever coming was nonexistent.  Yet, here we are!

Fall is my favorite time of year.. I love the idea of hoodies and yoga pants (the perfect combo!), fires, football, and the brisk air!  The thought of living somewhere tropical or with a warmer climate just never appealed to me, because with each change in season/weather there is always something to look forward to!

Things are going great over at the Tyler/Griffin household, and we even have a new addition...a tooth!
As you can see, there was no denying it was coming since our babe girl was napping like this.

I started coaching my 7th grade basketball team, and we are now four games in AND 4-0!  It's been a great experience thus far, and the perfect amount of time for the baby and I to have a little time away from each other, but it's just long enough that I am missing her by the end:)

Along with basketball, wedding planning has been in full speed, and I even said yes to the dress!  I know that 8/22/15 will be here before I know it, so I am trying to savor the planning and excitement for the big day ahead.  I even tried on my mom's wedding gown...
I hope she's not too upset that I decided to go with something of my own ;), not that it isn't beautiful!!

It's hard to believe that this was us just a year ago, enjoying the beautiful fall weather in Indy!!

Have a wonderful weekend, and I hope you have your calendars marked-- The big birthday is less than 2 weeks away!!!!!!!!!
