Friday Favorites

I'm so inconsistent with Friday favorites right now, but I love linking up with AndreaNarci, and Erika !  There are so many favorites during my favorite time of the year, so here are a few ten :)
one.
I blogged about my special girls' day with this cutie.  Spoiler alert: We saw a movie and it was FUN.

two.
Every so often I have an aha moment where I think, "I really need to be wearing purple eyeliner right now!!"  I LOVE when people with green eyes wear purple eyeliner, and my eyes are typically pretty blue (randomly a little green), and I look for the little extra pop that the purple gives.  I think it's holiday season inspired!?  Anyways, I always get this brand because it's pretty subtle, and I can use a smudge brush to darken the purple with black, or enhance with light color. It's long lasting, too.   Another favorite but more of a splurge is this, which is definitely more bold.

three.

The Elf came!! Her name is Trixie, and I naively thought Trixie would be eliminating any and all tantrums since she reports to Santa nightly, but I was sadly mistaken :).  She is a hit, though.  We did a little breakfast with Shay's monkey bread!  (recipe from her book).  I captured Kaylee's face when she first saw the elf, and I love it.

four.
Also, thanks to Shay, I made reindeer food for an ornament exchange I went to last weekend with my MIL and SIL!  YUM.

five.
I swear I have 2938209348 lists going this time of year.  I have a lot on my phone, but a lot of times I feel like I need a hard copy.  I picked up this adorable little journal from Burlington for, wait for it..... $2.99 !!!!  I'm such a sucker for a journal in general, but this has been a great one to have on hand for all of my lists and fits perfectly in my purse.

Six.
Okay, so I'm currently reading this book, and it's good intense.  The title sounded so familiar, so I did a little research and learned that it was a largely controversial book because it was put in the genre of nonfiction, but it later came out that there were many "embellishments" as the author calls them.  I remember he was on Oprah and it was a whole thing.  I'm pretty sucked in, so I'm still going to read it with the perspective that it's "nonfiction-ish".  I'll report back once I'm finished.

seven.
My dad got this advent calendar for Kaylee to have at his and my mom's house, and it is just the cutest thing!  In each little box there are pieces of the nativity set.  Now, she's having fun putting them in and out and setting up the scene, but when she's older I think it'll be fun to take out one for each day(like it's designed for) and talk about the significance of everything.  It's so cute.

eight.
I was on the look out for some holiday shoes for Kaylee, and I found these for her at Walmart.  She LOVES them (like wants to sleep in them loves them), the strap isn't too tight that it leaves a mark or too loose that her shoes fall off. Perfection.   They had lots of cute options here, and even some others in the store!

nine.
It's hard to see the dress in the picture, but I got this dress from Forever 21 (non maternity) when I was pregnant with Kaylee.  It's maroon/red, long-sleeved, and is shorter in the front and longer in the back.  I would typically be a s/m, but I got a large and it works really well with pregnancy!  Stretchy and not awkwardly tight in some spots.  I couldn't find the exact but found a few other really cute, inexpensive holiday dresses from there that look similar.

ten.
I have been blogging here and there about pregnancy! I forgot so many things and this time feels pretty different than with Kaylee girl.  This cardigan and cami are another fav that Gerald got me!

I'm ready for the weekend!! We have breakfast with Santa tomorrow, so check back next week for the fun holiday things we've been up to.  Have a fab weekend!

Friday Favorites

I've missed you, Friday Favs!!!  Here are some of my favorites from the week:)
Here we go:

Ok, so I mentioned in my 4th of July post that I worked a couple weddings this past weekend, and one of them had this food truck, and IT WAS SO AMAZING.  Like maybe the best food I've ever had.

I got these high-waisted shorts from Target.  I couldn't find the exact online, but these are similar.  I love them.  They are so comfy!!

This peanut is out of a boaster seat/high chair.  BUT, she loves playing in this one, so I haven't had the heart to put it away just yet.  This is what I got when I said, "smile for a picture."

Time hop...omg.  You make me cry.

We have had busy mornings all summer, and they typically end in like this.  Most days, she lets me transfer her with no problem.
and when a put a pull-up on the peanut....
*If you're wondering about her dress...it was 75 cents!!!!

Have a fab weekend!  Sending lots of prayers out to everyone who especially needs it today.

xoxo

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!  I've missed the last couple Fridays, #SIGH.  I don't know why, but blogging seems harder in the summer, or is that just me!?  Always on the go.  I'm excited to link up today and share some of my SUMMER favorites!
one.
I'm loving this book that my cousin, Kelly let me borrow.  Recommended to all of you mamas out there:)

two.
My Pittsburgh Penguins won the Stanley Cup and it made my heart SOOO happy.   #HockeyIsMyFavorite

three.
Father's Day with this guy:)  We had a fun day that will be on the blog next week.  Can you tell where this picture was taken!? #WeLoveTheZoo

four.
We had a BLAST on Wednesday at the water fountains downtown.  It was so much fun.  We had an early dinner with my mom then walked to these fountains.  She was SO excited but cautious for the first two minutes, THEN she was so brave running all through them.  They're intermittent which ones go off when, so it was all an adventure for her, and my mom and I had so much fun watching.   Dare I tell you that I forgot a towel!? #MOMFAIL.

five.
I found this recipe on Pinterest, and it was SO GOOD.  You could mix up the veggies you add, but I stayed pretty close to the recipe and we all loved it.  It was really light, and bowtie pasta is my favorite!  **As kids, my mom would let my brother and I each pick our favorite box of pasta, SPLURGE!  I always loved that and picked bowtie:)

six.
Another great Pinterest Find!!! This is so easy, and I plan to make it this weekend:)  You can find the recipe here.

seven.
We had the best girls' trip to see our Kost girls!!! I miss them already, but we are planning our next trip in July:)  You can read all about it here.

Have a fab weekend!!!!

Friday Favorites

You guys!!! I've missed Friday Favs!  I had some computer issues, so I haven't been on.  I have lots of fun favorites to share for this link up with ErikaAndrea, and Narci.
one.
COCONUT OIL!!! I'm late to the party on this one.  I got it as a make up remover and nighttime face lotion and have been loving it!  Basketball also ruined my feet after almost 15 years of playing, so my feet love it, also.  If you're like me and didn't know how much you could use coconut oil, there are lots of ways here.

two.

I got a couple new outfits from Fabletics for Mother's day!  Love them.  The outfit above is good for working out or running errands.  I especially like it for if you know you're working out in the evening but want to be in something cute-ish for the day.

I love this one too!  The leggings are my favorite:)

three.
I'm so sad that the cover up I got at Target is sold out right now!  This one is similar.  Mine is navy blue and longer with big slips up the side and it's been great!

four.
This picture is from Memorial day last year!  So little!!!  Here are some pictures from our Memorial Day (Saturday) on the boat this year.

At first, she wasn't so sure about going in the river, but then it was a fight to get her out!  It was COLD, but so fun.  We had snacks, drinks, and a fun-filled boating day:)

five.

We have been getting so much use out of the baby pool!  Do you see the waterslide in the back too!? Getting so fancy over here....the pool we belonged to just opened, so I'm excited to get into using that :)

six.
We went to such a fun wedding on Sunday!  It was so nice to have the weekend and something fun to look forward to Sunday evening with Monday off.  My parents got us a hotel room, so we all stayed up way too late and had so much fun celebrating the bride and groom:).  The next morning, we went up to my in-law's camp to pick up Kaylee and hang with them!

seven.
A baby in a romper.... #ThatIsAll

eight.

Wednesday Morning we went to my parents, my mom and I were going to a riverside park and lunch, but my dad stuck around to see Kaylee too!  It was the best surprise for her.  She is like such a big kid at the park these days.  We had so much fun and were all soaked from sprinklers by the end:)

nine.
Our mentor mom at MOPS gave each of us these stickers at our last meeting.  "Lord give me patience to endure my blessings."  I LOVE IT!

ten.
I'm so excited to dive into this book!  I've heard great things, and I love that the format is in letters.  Next week, I'm going to post my summer books list, and I'd love some suggestions :)  We will have a summer bucket list coming too!!

eleven.
And this!!!! After Memorial Day means it's summer, right!?  Enjoy your weekend:)
